Volunteering at Surrey Urban Mission, especially at Surrey Welcome Hub, has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. 

I chose to volunteer because I have a deep passion for helping those in need, especially individuals facing homelessness and other challenges.  It is important to me to be part of a community that provides support, dignity and hope to people who often feel forgotten.  

What I enjoy most is the personal connection to build healthy work relationships with the staff, sharing of meals, and offering a helping hand to the guests. I have learnt so much about resilience, kindness and the power of community.  

Seeing the impact of acts of compassion makes every moment worthwhile.
