Emergency Weather Response (EWR)

SUMS Place Society increases the number of beds during the worst weather of the year to ensure those who are at risk have a place to sleep. Extreme Weather Response Shelters (EWRs) are operated within the Lower Mainland. They are open from October to April during extreme weather nights when activated by the City and Province.
