Jack O'Halloran
Chief Executive Officer
Jack has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, working with organizations such as The Salvation Army, United We Can and Mission Thrift Store. He brings expertise in governance, leadership, and social enterprise, committed to advancing SUMS' mission and supporting its guests.
Shannon Dignard
Director of Community Relations
Shannon transitioned from healthcare to a community-focused role, driven by her passion for raising awareness and instilling hope. Guided by her faith, she creates an atmosphere of love and support for those in need.
Janet Brown
Director of Communications
Janet Brown joined SUMS as Director of Communications in October 2024 after nearly four decades as an award-winning reporter. Passionate about helping marginalized communities, she is eager to raise the profile of SUMS in Surrey, where she resides.
Paul Zigah
Director of Human Resources
Paul began his career on the frontline and is now dedicated to employee growth and engagement. He leads the HR team in driving initiatives that promote talent development and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Nathan Stein
Director of Strategic Advancement
Nathan oversees Surrey Urban Mission's new projects and strategic initiatives through the planning, development, and evaluation phases. He is committed to creating a future in which everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home.
Daniel Zahara
Director of Information and Technology
Daniel began at SUMS when it operated as a temporary winter shelter and now leads its information and technology systems. He focuses on using automation and technology to enhance services, improve care quality, and uplift the community.
